There were some beautiful silver plated vases created during the Art Nouveau era and many depicted ladies in flowing dresses or naturalistic designs. Silver plated vases were cheaper than sterling silver but many rare examples can still fetch high prices.
The majority of silver plated items at the beginning of the twentieth century used a technique known as electroplating.
Below are some examples and price guides of Art Nouveau silver plated vases including a French figural vase and a two-handled figural vase.
